9/8/06: Ran The Dish (3.5 Miles)

I decided to go for a jog today because my legs felt like they at least needed something different, it not a break entirely.  I’ve been walking the dish a lot in addition to cycling, sometimes on off days and sometimes after a ride.  I used to run it several years ago when I was in better shape and I wanted to give it another try.

The Dish is a 3.5 mile loop that rolls up and down the hills around Stanford’s famous satelite dish.  The hills are fairly steep and the run wasn’t easy so I took it really slow.  I ran the course in 44 minutes, which from a minutes per mile stand point is pretty pathetic but considering the hills and how tired my legs were, I was happy just to finish without stopping.
